Reason they won EOM: Elsie does an exceptional job! She exhibits a true interest in her position here. She never complains and seems at most willing to do anything asked of her. She always demonstrates a great level of professionalism and is very courteous. We would love to see more Aides like her!
Favorite Sports Team: The Ohio State Buckeyes (who else?!?)
Favorite Food: Romeo’s Pizza (yum!)
Hobbies: She would love to swim with dolphins in a clear blue sea and stroll along black sand beaches… (you know the rest)
Family: Elsie has been married for 5 years. She has 1 step-son, Kamron, who is 7 years old. She is one of seven children. She loves to ride with her husband on their motorcycle. A Yamaha YZFR6 to be exact! She loves working here at Southern and loves everyone that she works with.

Name: Linda Paller, RN
Position: RN

Favorite Sports Team: Cleveland Indians – although right now they are an embarrassment- but I’m a die- hard fan!
Favorite Food: Meat loaf, shell fish
Hobbies: I love to read; I do needle work and I love to cook for my family. I swim and enjoy walking my dog Peggy Lee-she visits Southern Hills periodically! I enjoy “game nights” with friends and family and would like to travel more
Family: My husband Craig passed away 5 years ago- the Southern Hills Family was my biggest support at that time. My daughter Melissa and her husband Tom and my “Grand-dog” Izzy just moved to Texas at Easter-I will be visiting them next week! Tom is a lease manager for Developers Diversified Company and branch manager of the Dallas office- Melissa is finishing her Nursing degree in Dallas. My son Bradley works for Dillard’s and I am so proud to say he has obtained scholarships from Cleveland State Univ. to complete his Music degree. He is a trained Tenor and also plays the flute and will continue to study both when he returns to school in late August. My Mother “Lois” just turned 86 and although she has slowed down- she still drives, takes care of her own apartment and is a great cook and baker. I can only say “thanks” to whoever nominated me- I feel it a very great honor to be recognized and appreciated by ones peers. I feel truly blessed with the friends I have made here at the “Hills”.

Reason they won Employee of the Month: Angie was nominated by a fellow employee who admires her calm and patient attitude. She is quick to assist her co-workers without complaint, and is frequently caught doing the little extra things for our residents-buying them pop, painting their nails.
Angie also serves as a mentor for new nursing staff, calmly explaining the procedures and documentation requirements which can be very overwhelming even on a quiet evening.
Favorite Food: Chinese
Hobbies: She is a Cavs fan, loves to travel, spend time outside and especially spend time with her two daughters.
Family: married, her husband’s name is Dan and she is the mother of two girls: Elizabeth, five (5) years old and Emily, who is almost one (1).

Reason they won Employee of the Month: Going above and beyond the call of duty. Takes time to comfort residents that are having a bad day.

Reason they won Employee of the Month: Karen was nominated for her positive attitude and always being professional. She is always willing to help out other departments in need. She is an all around team player. She is always very respectful to other staff, residents, and families.

Family: Married to David for five years. I have two wonderful children. Melissa 29 and Jarret 27, Jarret is married to Kristen and they have given me the best gift of all, my granddaughter Bayleigh! Who is the star of my life.

Reason: She was nominated by several people including the therapy department for their appreciation of her always having her residents up and ready for therapy in the morning when they need them. She is a team player and is always there for her coworkers and the residents.
